Welcome to the Messy Desk Club

Who We Are (And Why We’re Proud of Our Chaotic Workspaces)

There are two kinds of desks in this world: the pristine ones that look straight out of an IKEA catalog with everything in its perfect place… and ours. You know, the ones with teetering piles of papers that defy physics, three half-empty coffee cups, and that mysterious ability to make a pen vanish in plain sight.

Guess which category we fall into?

Spoiler alert: we’re proud of our chaotic desks. And if you’re reading this, chances are you are too (or you’re starting to be).

Why the Messy Desk Club exists

We’re three women—French, Latvian, and Italian—who got tired of seeing the same sanitized entrepreneurial advice everywhere. You know, those “10 steps to success” that forget to mention the 3 AM doubts, the flying post-it notes, and the fact that between two “eureka!” moments, there are usually a few solid “what the hell am I doing?” sessions.

Our reality check? Behind every “overnight success” are usually a thousand quiet mornings, late-night questioning, and a few glorious creative note avalanches. We wanted a place to talk about those moments.

Who we are (for real)

We’re the kind of friends you’d grab coffee with to brainstorm your next idea. Except we happen to be scattered between Paris, Riga, and Milan, and we decided to turn our reflection sessions into something bigger.

Our backgrounds? SEO, design, project management, localization, and most importantly, solid experience in freelancing and creative entrepreneurship. We’ve tested, failed, succeeded, started over. We’ve navigated the cultural challenges of doing business in Europe, juggled multiple projects, and learned to transform creative chaos into concrete results.

What unites us? This deep conviction that authenticity beats perfection, and that the best ideas often emerge from apparent disorder.

What we promise (and what we’ll never do)

What you’ll find here:

  • Honest stories, no Instagram filter
  • Practical tools tested in the field (not in business books)
  • Cross-cultural insights on entrepreneurship in Europe
  • Analysis based on real data (we love numbers that actually speak)
  • A holistic approach that considers the human behind the project

What we’ll NEVER do:

  • Sell you dreams with “10K in 3 months” promises
  • Corporate washing disguised as authentic advice
  • Miracle recipes without foundation
  • Make you feel guilty if your journey doesn’t look like a LinkedIn success story

Our vision of the “messy desk”

The messy desk is our metaphor for everything that actually happens in creative and entrepreneurial life. It’s:

  • Overlapping projects that create unexpected magic
  • Half-finished ideas that find their place later
  • The creative process that refuses to fit into neat categories
  • Authenticity in the face of pressure to appear “in control”

Basically, we celebrate the beauty of being permanently work-in-progress.

What to expect in upcoming posts

We’re diving into topics we’re passionate about and that desperately lack authentic perspectives:

  • How to navigate SEO when you’re creative (and completely clueless)
  • Cultural realities of European business vs. US-centric advice
  • Etsy, Shopify, and the art of selling your creativity without losing your soul
  • Project management for creative brains (spoiler: classic to-do lists don’t work)
  • Trends worth your time vs. ones that waste it

Join our club (membership requirement: a messy desk)

If you recognize yourself in any of these situations:

  • Your desk looks like a creative battlefield
  • You’re juggling multiple projects without knowing which to prioritize
  • You’re tired of business advice that rings hollow
  • You’re looking for a community that embraces imperfection
  • You want practical insights without the corporate packaging

Then welcome to the club.

We don’t have neat conclusions to offer you. No ten-step plans. Just authentic conversations, thoughtful reflections, and occasionally some insights fueled by Italian coffee.

Our next mission? Proving that we can be professional, expert AND keep that creative spontaneity that makes us wake up excited to create something new.

We’ll meet here every week to share what we’re learning, testing, and discovering.

Ready to embrace your messy desk with us?

P.S.: We’d love to hear your story! In the comments, tell us: what does YOUR desk look like right now? And most importantly, what creative project is making you excited these days?
